13th International Conference on Modern and Fossil Dinoflagellates

Preliminary Program

Vision

We invite researchers of all disciplines working on dinoflagellates and/or their cysts (as well as their potential pre ancestors) to share their knowledge.

We especially will stimulate contributions and discussions about:

  • Ecology and paleo-ecology of modern and ancient dinoflagellates
  • Toxicity and (toxic) bloom dynamics in modern and past environments
  • “From acritarch to dino” and the evolution of dinoflagellates
  • Feeding and life strategies in modern and ancient dinoflagellates
  • new avenue: isotopic and molecular signatures of cells and cyst walls
  • dinoflagellates and their cysts in a changing environment - their resilience/sensitivety to current anthropogenic induced environmental change such as pollution, climate change and potential future geoengeneering
