Foraminifera are beautiful microorganisms that live on the ocean floors all over the world. Like many other shell-bearing animals, they are threatened by ocean acidification. In episode 138, Dr. Laurie M. Charrieau, a marine geologist at the Alfred Wegener Institute, takes us on a journey around the world and explains how foraminifera are coping with climate change and increasingly acidic seas.
