This year's ECORD Summer School topic is “Southern Ocean – Antarctic paleoclimate interactions”. 30 early career scientists from 13 countries will meet at MARUM between September 8 and 19. In addition to the thematic focus, the hands-on focal point is on the work flow in international ocean drilling programs, for example IODP³ (International Ocean Drilling Programme). The participants will be prepared for possible participation in drilling expeditions off- and onshore and projects utilizing drilling core material.
