Current collaborative Projects
Climate - understanding and protecting
We actively participate in climate research at MARUM - Center for Marine Environmental Sciences. The aim is a better understanding of the ocean's role on climate change by studying relevant events and processes in climate history.
PalMod (From the Last Interglacial to the Anthropocene - Modeling a Complete Glacial Cycle)
The goal of the BMBF Collaborative Project is to simulate the complete last Ice Age Cycle with complex Earth System Models.
SPP2299 - Tropical Climate Variability & Coral Reefs
This DFG Priority Programme aims to quantify climate and environmental changes in the tropics during past and present warm periods on societally relevant timescales. SPP2299 combines climate and environmental reconstructions based on coral data, ecosystem research, novel statistical methods and Earth System Modelling to study tropical climate dynamics.
