Live dive with MARUM-SQUID

For the first time, a team of researchers on the East African continental slope between Tanzania and South Africa and near the Comoros/Mayotte is trying to find out where cold-water corals occur, under what environmental conditions they live, how many different species live in the reefs and how they could develop in the future. The remotely operated vehicle MARUM-SQUID will be used for this purpose. The dives can be followed live on the Internet.
