The Bremen Doctoral Researcher Symposium on Marine Sciences brings together doctoral researchers to present and discuss their scientific topics, methods and strategies. The symposium encourages peer-to-peer interaction and collaboration, enabling the exchange of ideas, sharing of insights and valuable feedback in a supportive environment.
The Symposium offers the opportunity to
- Experience the diversity of scientific expertise in and around Bremen and present your work,
- Develop a network between institutes and find contact persons/institutes for interdisciplinary questions of your project,
- Discuss overarching topics such as tools, methods, problem-solving strategies, etc., and
- Have a good time with your fellow doctoral researchers.

*From 2008 until 2024, this event was called the "Bremen PhD Days in Marine Sciences". With the official introduction of the term doctoral researchers, which has replaced the term PhD student, the event has been renamed.
